Constable Clint
Burgess Bio
Constable Clint Burgess is a life long resident
of Tarrant County and has lived in Mansfield for the past twenty
years. He is a graduate of Mansfield High School. After High School
he entered into the U.S. Air Force and served for a period of four
years. Clint was an Air Surveillance Operator on the AWACS plane
and assigned to the 965 AWACS Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Clint served three tours in Saudi Arabia
and two in Turkey to maintain surveillance of Iraq after Desert
Storm. Clint also worked in cooperation with the D.E.A., US.
Customs, and the U.S. Coast Guard on counter-drug missions out of
Panama and the CONUS United States. While in the Air Force, Clint
was able to visit twenty-one countries and forty-one different
States. Clint's desire to be a police officer was greater than
staying in the Air Force and began to look at opportunies in law
enforcement. Clint had an opportunity to join the Oklahoma Capital
Patrol (division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol) but Texas was
home. Clint got out of the Air Force in 1997, came back home to
Mansfield and started the Police Academy one month
later.

After graduating the academy he began to work as
a Deputy at the Ellis County Constable Office Pct. 4. In 2003 Clint
was promoted to the position of Chief Deputy Constable. He served
Ellis County for a total of seven years and left at the end of 2004
after being elected the Constable of Tarrant County Precinct 7. In
2004 Clint, was one of the youngest elected Constables in the State
of Texas.

Clint was sworn into office on January 1, 2005.
Clint serves the areas of Arlington (south of Pioneer Pkwy),
Burleson (East of I-35), Dalworthington Gardens, Fort Worth (East
of I-35) Grand Prairie (Tarrant County portion), Kennedale,
Mansfield, and Rendon.
